Introducing our NEW 10 Gauge Telescoping Flag poles from Veterans Flag Depot - the ultimate in Telescoping Flagpoles in the U.S.A.. Telescoping flagpole, each section of the pole raises and lowers easily. Match the arrow to the hole, click the button in place, and with a simple press of the "release" button down your flagpole slides.

With a pole base of 2 3/4" and a wall thickness of 10 gauge aerospace drawn 6013 aluminum this design bridges the lower priced residential flagpoles with the more expensive commercial grade poles valued at hundreds of dollars. Stronger than steel.

1st section (smallest section) - 1.37" (Top)

2nd section - 1.67"
3rd section - 2"
4th section - 2.37"
5th section - 2.75" (Bottom)

The 20' pole fully collapsed is 77" (not installed)

The 25' pole fully collapsed is 88.5" (not installed)

About 18 inches of that will be put into the ground.

The tensile (or bending strength) of the drawn 6013 aluminum equals or exceeds the strength of traditional steel*.

Our manufacturer guarantees its products with an unparalleled 15 year Warranty (including weather damage).

Designed and tested with the assistance of one of Pennsylvania's leading engineering universities and fabricated by Americans for Americans, you can take comfort in the quality and durability of your purchase.

No inexpensive or cheap polycarbonate (Lexan) plastics are utilized in manufacturing, only high quality carbon-fiber composites to insure superior strength and backed by a 10 year warranty.

Our dual-locking design of high quality stainless-steel prevents any accidental dropping of the individual sections and flagpole damage that can occur with traditional spring loaded buttons and twist locks.

In cold weather, our flagpoles will not freeze, and will still be functional do to our special locking system unlike spring loaded and twist lock flagpoles.

The exterior has a smooth and beautiful finish that can only be achieved through the use of drawn aluminum as opposed to the less-expensive extruded aluminum of traditional poles.

For better operation, compatibility, strength and beauty, we are offering the ONLY true 20' telescoping Flagpole consisting of 5 sections instead of 4. Extra thick PVC ground sleeve with a decorative carbon-fiber bushing will help deter theft and unwanted rotational movement.

These New Telescoping Flagpoles are the Ultimate in design and strength and ready to serve you for many years to come.

So don't settle for mediocrity and higher prices when you can have the strongest and finest telescoping flagpole!

When comparing the strength of our poles versus our competitors:

6013 aluminum virtually doubles the strength of the pole. Click Here

10 gauge wall thickness versus 16 gauge of other flagpoles will add 1/3 additional strength to the pole

Our manufacturer. does not rely on claims as manufacturing the strongest pole in the market. They prove it with facts. Just do the math.

*6013 Aluminum

www.aviationmetals.net/aluminum_sheet.php

6013 is a new medium strength aerospace alloy that provides improved corrosion resistance and formability for use in aerospace applications including primary aircraft structures. Alloy 6013 is an aluminum-magnesium-silicon-copper alloy that has yield strengths 12% higher than alclad 2024-T3 and is virtually immune to exfoliation and stress corrosion cracking. Industry use has demonstrated that 6013 in the T4 condition has better stretch forming characteristics than other aerospace aluminum alloys. Parts can be formed in the T4 condition and aged to the T6 condition without costly heat-treating or annealing operations. Heat treatable.

Applications

Uses for 6013 include primary structural applications including fuselage panels, leading and trailing edges and engine cowlings. Lockheed has chosen 6013-T6 for the fuselage of the Navy's P-7A aircraft. Canadair has specified 6013-T6 for the leading edges of the Regional Jet.

Questair has been producing the Questair kit aircraft since 1986 entirely from 6013. Major jet aircraft builders are considering 6013 for applications on large commercial aircraft.

Alloy 6013 is receiving consideration in most new programs taking advantage of the improved formability, lower density and corrosion resistance.

While all the 6000 series extruded aluminum tubes used by other manufacturers have a tensile strength (measured in PSI) of about 30,000. Drawn aluminum 6013 can exceed 64,000 PSI.

    Great Product

Posted by David J. on 23rd May 2019

I recently purchased the 20' flag pole for my front yard to replace a flag pole from a different company that didn't stand up to the spring winds here in southern NM.

The Veteran Flag Depot flag pole has already passed the test of high winds with no issues. So far we have had several days of sustained winds of 50+ mph with gust over 80 and the flag pole has endured.

The only reason I didn't give the flag pole a 5 is the topper ball was broken upon delivery.

Thanks for a great product and it is a bonus being a veteran to be able to support a veteran business!

This may be the only automotive application.

    Posted by eaton53 on 23rd Mar 2019

I will be using this flagpole, not for a residential application, but to fly flags at car shows. I have a very rare original Merkur XR4Ti and have a very extensive display. I've found only one minor issue.

The flagpole has big spring pins that pop out when they align with the segment below.
The one (easily fixable) design flaw with this pole is there's a little alignment dot on the pole just above the pin on one side only.
If the pin is on the other side of the pole while you're raising it and you miss it, you can pull the pin out of the segment below.
Then you gotta fiddle with it to get it back inside the lower segment and into the hole. This thing's not super light, so that's not good!

So I took a paint pen and made a line that goes all the way around the pole a few inches above the dot.
Then I made another vertical line down to the dot.
You can't miss these lines... line up the vertical line with the hole in the segment below and it pops right in every time.

The only other thing occurred because I'm not using it for an in-ground application. The flagpole fits into a massive custom made wheel stand made out of 3/8" thick aluminum. It's basically a big tube welded to a big plate that is held down by the car tire. Two industrial aluminum knobs secure the pole to the tube.

Because the pole is at ground level instead of 18" in the ground, the segment you're raising is at eye level instead of chest level.
It moves smoothly, but it's still a pretty good workout for the old shoulders. Going down is no problem. Gravity is your friend.

So I ordered an extra wide folding plastic step stool to get me back up to the design height... Ford Blue, of course.

Niow, raising and lowering is easy peasy. Despite being an absolute monster, it's probably 2X as fast as my skinny old twist-lock pole.

Watch it in action here, starting at the end of next month:

    There will be many pictures...

    Great product.

Easy to follow directions. Received almost a week earlier than promised! Seems quite sturdy after putting up. Only detraction, and won't hold against the quality of this pole, is there was supposed to be a clip included for pushing buttons in to lower, which was not in the box.

    20' Pole

Pole seems well built. I like the fact that it has 2 opposing latches per section (except top most only has one).

What I like about this flagpole is how it stands up to the South Dakota winds.

Posted by David Veilleux on 2nd Jun 2018

The wind is South Dakota can be relentless. So far my new flag pole has stood up to the test . It's a wonderful addition to my backyard and display it proudly. The only negative I have is the instructions. Pictures for each step would be very helpful. Still not sure if I have the set screw in correctly lol

    Great Product

It is steel, not painted, we originally wanted white I put in a call to Vet. Flag she explained the plus about the steel and glad we didn't have a choice :@) even from a small distance you wouldn't even notice it's not white, the telescoping idea is a great idea along with the built on swivel for the flag so no matter how the wind blows the flag doesn't tangle. The person who took my order was fantastic I bothered her so many times because the flag was for a vaca home and we were to be there for a short window of time. Service was beyond fantastic. Do give them at least 2 weeks and if in doubt call them.
